The British Council wishes to engage an experienced photographer for archiving and visibility of the project. The photographer should have experience in the field of arts and development work in Zimbabwe rural communities. The project is being implemented in targeted communities of Binga, Lupane, Bulawayo, Chivi and Honde Valley in Zimbabwe, and including Harare events.
The Photographer(s) will create permanent visual images for an exceptionally wide range of creative, technical and documentary purposes.
Skills and personal qualities- Be creative, with a good eye for a picture- Be reliable and able to meet deadlines- Have excellent technical and photographic skills- Have computer skills, especially with computer programs such as Photoshop- Have good communications skills and be able to listen and interpret the client’s needs- Be able to focus on getting a good picture no matter what is going on around them- Have commercial awareness and be good at marketing themselves.
Duration: 20 days
Field experience in Zimbabwe and good understanding of local language would be an added advantage.
